Notes
The Rumba Cross consists of Steps 2-3 of a Forward Lockstep followed by a Natural Pivot. It has been among the Named Variations (Gold) since the earliest versions of the Revised Technique. Across the Ballroom Technique and the Quickstep and Basic Principles, there are only a limited set of entry and exit figures (denoted after each figure):
Entering the Rumba Cross
-At a corner, steps 1-5 of a Natural Turn (ISTD)(IDTA)
-Natural Pivot Turn into Bridge Step (S) (ISTD)(IDTA)
-Steps 1-4 of Tipple Chassé to Right (IDTA)
-Steps 1-2 of a Running Finish (QQ) (IDTA)
