Open Impetus Quickstep
Notes
The Open Impetus is taken from the Waltz Syllabus and adapted for use in the Quickstep, where it is featured as a Silver figure in the IDTA syllabus.
As there is no Promenade Position in the current ISTD syllabus, the
Open Impetus and its exit figures are only available to non-syllabus competitors. It should be noted, however, that up until the 8th Edition [1976], the Quickstep Open Impetus was part of Alex Moore's Revised Technique. It is one of ten figures to have been removed from the ISTD Quickstep syllabus.

Passing Natural Turn, Tipple Chassé to Left, Tipsy to Left. or
