Bounce Fallaway with Weave Ending is a comparatively late addition to the
ISTD syllabus, as it only appears somewhere between the 8th Edition and the (current) 10th edition of the Ballroom Technique. The only reference we are able to find is in Alex Moore's Popular Variations (Foxtrot #51), which describes a ""Bounce" Fallaway Reverse [and Slip Pivot]."
The Bounce Action
Guy Howard's The Foxtrot and Basic Principles makes no special mention of any lilting action, and the Ballroom Technique notes only this:
"There is a slight flexing of the knees on steps 2 and 4. The heel lowers towards the floor and may lightly touch."
Given such broad instructions, the amount of Bounce Action can be seen as falling into the gray area of individual interpretation.
The Checked Weave Ending
As with the Basic Weave, the Weave from PP, the Quick Natural Weave, and the Natural Weave, the Bounce Fallaway with Weave Ending includes a Feather Finish. This Feather Finish may be checked to follow with Top Spin or Outside Swivel.
